Contact recovery in (ECU) connectors:
Why is it interesting to restore contacts in connectors?
The problem is that modern contacts in, for example, ECU connectors increasingly have to deal with very low currents in these contacts, where in the past the current was in the mA, that is now (for certain contacts) in the µA. This results in the formation of a minuscule oxide skin which causes the contact to be lost. An example of these low currents can be found in the Data networks such as CAN.
GMTO has found the solution in a special means that contacts are permanently restored, it is a means developed for the computer industry and industries where the connection is of vital importance (medical) or for the success of a mission (space travel).
Contact stabilization can be used wherever electrical contacts are used.
