Information
The package consists of the following parts:
- NEN standardization document NEN 9140:2024
- GMTO EV MULTITESTER
- DUSPOL digital two-pole voltage tester AC 1000V DC 1200V
- Electrically insulating gloves
- Barrier: 6 posts with 25 meters of chain
- High voltage system warning sign
- Face shield
- Storage case
As you know, the new NEN9140:2024 standard has been introduced. This standard sets specific requirements for safe work on electrically powered vehicles. With the emergence of new electrically powered means of transport and technologies, this entails new risks and that is why the standard has been revised. The new NEN standard prescribes working with new equipment.
The GMTO Hybrid equipment package contains all the tools to safely measure and work on Hybrid and EV vehicles and to shield the environment. In addition to the electrically insulating gloves and NEN standardization document NEN 9140, the storage case also contains 6 barrier posts and 25 meters of chain to cordon off the area around the vehicle in question. With the High Voltage System warning sign you make it clear what is happening within the cordoned off zone. It is important to use the correct protective equipment. This is why GMTO has added the face shield in the GMTO EV Equipment package.
NEN9140:2024 new NEN standard document
When you start working on E-vehicles according to NEN9140:2024, you must be able to consult the NEN standard. You can order the NEN9140:2024 hard copy from GMTO.
In the NEN standard document you will find all specific requirements for working on E-vehicles. In addition to working safely on E-vehicles, it also describes how to act in the event of a damaged E-vehicle and the high-voltage components and battery packs.
GMTO EV Multitester
The GMTO EV Multitester is a versatile measuring instrument and replaces the CAT III 1000V meter and the Mega-Ohm meter. The EV Multitester can easily be used to perform insulation, resistance or voltage measurements on E-vehicles.
All measurements required for a good diagnosis can be performed with these instruments, such as:
- Perform diagnostic measurements on the insulation
- Perform insulation error measurements
- Earth continuity test (also called potential equalization)
- Measure zero voltage
Brief specifications:
- CAT III 1000 V
- Measuring at: 12V, 24V and 48V and high-voltage systems up to 1000V
- Earth continuity test: 0.015 ohm – 2,000 ohm @ 200mA and up to 20 ohm @90mA
- 5 Test Voltages: 50V, 100V, 250V. 500V, or 1000V
- Ohmmeter: measures resistances from 100 milliohm (0.1Ω) to 60 Megaohm (60000000Ω)
- Test button on the measuring probe
Duspol two-pole voltage tester AC 1000V DC 1200V
The revised NEN9140:2024 standard prescribes the no-voltage measurement to be carried out with the Duspol. The DUSPOL digital two-pole voltage tester offers the possibility to carry out the no-voltage measurement at the safest distance and with the test button on the measuring probe. The long measuring probes and raised edges give you a good grip while measuring.
Brief specifications:
- Voltage from 1 - 1000 V AC TRMS/1200 V DC
- Continuity measurement up to 100 kΩ
- Resistance up to 300 kΩ
- Diode measurement up to 2 V
- CAT III 1000 V
- Test button on the measuring probe
High voltage system warning sign
The revised NEN9140:2024 standard describes that a high-voltage system warning sign must be used. You hang these on the poles with chains. In this way you provide additional information to those around you about the risks during work in the closed area.
Face shield
The face shield is ultra protected and resistant. The screen can easily be folded up and is adjustable in height and depth. The face shield adapts to every situation for every use. It is made of PP (Polypropene, hard form of plastic) and provides protection against arc flash, short circuit and liquids. The face shield has a CE and NEN-EN 166 quality mark.
