Garages typically use HaynesPro through the portal-to-portal interface, or through a parts distributor's online catalog. A registered user logged into the catalog automatically gains access to the online versions of HaynesPro WorkshopData Car and/or WorkshopData Truck.

Depending on the modules (Tech, Electronics and/or Smart) they have licensed, garages can benefit from a wealth of vehicle data, much of it sourced from 53 OEM companies. The data includes repair times, technical drawings, special electrical diagrams, fault codes with explanations and solutions, and frequent or infrequent faults with possible repairs. All this information is at the mechanic's fingertips. As a result, the workshop benefits from greater efficiency and profitability, fewer undeclared hours and a higher percentage of repairs that are successful the first time.

Through an integrated costing program, repair times and parts prices are calculated so that a clear and reliable cost estimate can be prepared for the customer.
